I was born and raised in Southern Maryland, and I graduated from Stevenson University in 2018 with my B.S. in Biology. During my time at Stevenson, I joined the Burgess lab where I studied eukaryotic DNA repair mechanisms using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model organism.
After undergrad, I spent a year working in public health before moving to Florida and starting my PhD here at USF. I joined the Darch lab in 2019, and am currently investigating aggregate formation and dispersal mechanisms and cues in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
When I'm not in the lab, I'm usually reading or rock climbing.
