I was born in Orlando Florida, and I graduated with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavior form Florida Atlantic University in 2020. While at FAU I worked in the lab of Dr. Carmen Varela studying the reuniens nucleus in the thalamus and its involvement in sleep dependent memory consolidation in a Long evans rat model.
I joined the Darch lab in 2023 as a student in the USF Medical Sciences PhD program. My current work will be investigating the interactions between host immune cells and Pseudomonas aeruginosa aggregates in the cystic fibrosis lung environment.
When I’m not in the lab I enjoy painting, going to the beach, and spending time with my two cats and dog.
