Caroline Miller, MS
Biological Scientist
Biological Scientist

Before coming to the University of South Florida (USF), I completed a BS in Biology, with a concentration in Biotechnology and a minor in Bioinformatics, in the spring of 2020 at the University of Florida (UF). During my undergraduate career, I pursued multi-year, independent research projects with the Dr. Christine W. Miller Lab in the Department of Entomology & Nematology at UF/IFAS. My research focuses included studying reproductive/fitness trade-offs in leaf-footed bugs and using bioinformatic tools to extract legacy data of interest from existing sequence capture datasets.
I joined the Darch lab in January 2021 as an MS in Biotechnology student. I have continued to stay in the lab as a biological scientist to apply microfluidic techniques to spatially manipulate the pathogen of interest in our lab – Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring the conservation parks in Hillsborough County, photography, and traveling.
